LCD 3.3 – CWA Identifier and TIC Detector for the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Kazakhstan

In December 2023 Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Kazakhstan (MD RK) acquired CWA identifiers and TIC detectors LCD3.3.

CWA identifiers and TIC detectors LCD3.3 are manufactured at Smiths Detection`s Hemel Hemstead factory in the UK. Smiths Detection is the world`s leading company in providing advanced security solutions and technology products for the detection of chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear and explosive substances, as well as other hazardous or prohibited materials.

Based on leading IMS (Ion Mobility Spectrometry) technology, the LCD 3.3 is an advanced is an advanced warning device, that alarms to gas and vapour threats detected and identified at or below immediately dangerous to life and health (IDLH) levels, by determining the agent or type, class, concentration and dosage of chemical exposure. It can also be used as a screening and survey device. The device is very simple to operate and requires no calibration or complicated routine maintenance. LCD 3.3 with combined CWC and TIC detection library and clear, easy-to-read LCD display works reliably in extreme environments.

MD RK, implementing the state policy in the sphere of defense and management of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan, constantly renews its material and technical base and introduces modern technologies. LCD 3.3 is planned to be used as chemical reconnaissance devices to determine the zone of chemical contamination at mobile chemical reconnaissance complexes and at one of the mobile control and distribution centres in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
